The Scars of War Foundation is a charitable trust fund, with both a charitable purpose and a public benefit. It is non-profit making and non-political, adhering to the rigorous academic standards of the University of Oxford.
Scars of War is governed by its own Board of Trustees and Directors, plus two administrative boards:
- College Board, made up of Fellows of the College chaired by the Provost; the usual supervisory arrangement for college trust funds.
- International Scientific Advisory Board of experts in the various fields in which we operate, plus College representation, being assembled under the leadership of Prof Peter Whybrow, Director of Semel Institute, UCLA. Prof Whybrow is also attached to The Queen’s College.
