Dr Christine Parsons

Research Fellow Dr Christine Parsons BA (Psych) PhD graduated from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and is the research manager of Scars of War.

Her current research focuses on the neural correlates of combat-related post-traumatic stress disorders; and how we respond to biologically salient information in the environment. Her major aim is to understand brain process in affective disorders such as depression and anxiety, through the study of clinical, nonclinical and neuropsychiatric populations, using complementary methods including magnetoencephalography (MEG), deep brain stimulation (DBS), functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging and behavioural tasks.
