Armed conflict and natural disasters will always be the inevitable likelihood of an uncertain future. Their effects on people run very deep, through entire populations, and down the generations.

Scars of War at The Queen’s College, University of Oxford, is a permanent research foundation, ensuring that the problems of war and disaster will always be the subject of  long-term scientific research of the highest standard.

The most important requirement of such research is always to have the best people with the very highest level of experience and expertise.  We need to build on our already excellent team, recruiting others of the same calibre, as well as funding the research outlined.

We very much hope you will consider supporting us.  For more specific details of funding and sponsorship opportunities, please contact our Director Hugh McManners.

On-going related research is funded by a wide variety of sources, including MRC UK, The Wellcome Trust, TrygFonden Charitable Foundation and Charles Wolfson Charitable Trust.
